Lewke verch Gwilim is a 13th C. Welsh woman, from the Cumbrian Millom Peninsula. She is a handservant to the wife of the governor of Galloway (Sir John de Huddleston, Baron of Anneys)— Lady Joan de Boyville. The area she lives in does a brisk business in wool from the Herdwick sheep sold at the yearly wool faire within the barony of Copeland and Egremont, which Sir John applied to the King for the right to hold. Other industries in the area include shale and coal mining, and the collection and refinement of bog iron.
Note: My nickname is "Lucky" because, go figure, people find Welsh pronunciation difficult. Textiles are my hobby of choice, and cooking how I like to give service to others. I love to work gate and get to greet people first-thing on site, and to serve feast. My device includes a silver snail (because I adore snails) and I have a passion for early empire Rome, for which I am working on launching a new persona.
