Idonia is a 14th C. Englishwoman who is running the family's lands - Dale on the Sea - because she's out of male relatives to do it for her. Her convent education taught her to read and write and turned her into a pragmatist--she can often be found wearing the clothing of her greatgrandmother, carefully kept in clothespresses (why waste perfectly good clothing?). Her one luxury is the fact that she gardens for fun instead of profit or need. She seeks seeds of foreign lands from all merchants to enhance her herb garden and, thus, her table. In the SCA, Idonia has a long history of running events and holding offices, and has even run one feast a loooooong time ago. In particular, Idonia has edited the newsletters of two kingdoms and Northshield when it first became a principality, and has been a seneschal in two baronies. She has fought at Estrella, Lilies, and Pennsic. She enjoys court and field heraldry, dancing, bardic arts, and even the occasional piece of embroidery. Idonia is a founding member of the Honour of the Domestic Goddess in the Barony of the Eldern Hills in Ansteorra, and is also a member of the Bad Influence Guild in Atlantia. Idonia has one protege, Baroness Kateryn of Cornwall.
