Hello, Goda here!
For any awards, you can just use "Goda" as my full name. If, in the future, I get a byname approved, I will update here at that time.
For awards, I love many things! I love a deeply nerdy historical moment, or a wack-a-doodle off the rails situation as well. I love traditional scrolls on perg, or unexpected thing scrolls! Don't be afraid to be weird... I am! I love the illuminations of big silly gems! I like lovey-dovey things like hearts, cats, doves, rabbits, lily-of-the-valley flowers and roses. I love herbs and botanicals, cats, dogs, and mythical creatures- particularly woman-animal hybrids like woman-sphynx and lady-birds. Swords. OK with moderately lewd content, lol. I'm a romantic. I love gold, red, and luxurious details. Red or blue lettering is exciting! I am not a fan of the color purple. I like tiny and miniature things, or anything with a pleasing texture. Most importantly, if you enjoyed making it, I will enjoy receiving it. Thank you.
She/Her pronouns are just fine. I truly do not have preferred pronouns, and will sometimes dress in men’s garb- you can still use she/her. I am just not particularly attached to my gender.
I used to request a heads-up before getting called into court, but no longer think I need that. :)
I love sharing resources and techniques related to my craft, and am happy to help if anyone needs my assistance. The best ways to contact me are by Facebook messenger or by text- 608-214-2888.
Warm thanks.
-Goda

⭐Details for my original/Swabian persona⭐
Goda
1470’s- 1530’s,
Born in Ulm.
Duchy of Swabia, Holy Roman Empire.
Travel within Teutschland and the Low Countries.
Regions of interest: Teutschland (Germany), specifically Swabia, in the HRE and de Nederlanden (the Low Countries).
Personal details:
Literate in the vulgar tongue (German) , some Latin. (my persona, not me!)
Humanist, private backer of Thomas Müntzer and the peasants' revolts.
From a family of allied craftspeople who capitalized on the development of the printing press, and began manufacturing books with distribution throughout the Swabian League trade routes, and into the Low Countries.
Parents and grandparents benefited from stable regional trade, which is now destabilized due to the rise of Protestantism, causing friction within the family and the greater community.
Traveled through trade routes to and from the Low Countries as a young adult.
Moderate wealth.
Lover of art and beauty.
⭐Details of Muscovite Persona⭐
Milka Mariia Krasnaia Godunova (Goda)
Primarily 15th c Muscovite Rus (Moscow and Novgorod). Lower boyar family of Novgorod, sided with lower classes during annexation to Moscow, and were rewarded with an increase in lands outside Novgorod. Travel to and from Moscow for administrative and trade purposes. Married.
- I will also use this persona when adventuring in Kievan Rus (basically just at Haustblot), transitioning to 11th to 12th century for short bursts of time. :)
Personal notes-
Completed Projects, successes and some that weren’t:
-Wulsthaube and Schleier, various coifs and wraps. (German headwear)
-chemise (used too thick of linen, will try again)
-cream wool underrock, supportive German under dress. (Fit was ok, but I reworked it to fit better. Wool was heavier than I would use again).
-knitted and felted German cap, c. 1530s. One red, one grey, one green. (The red and grey turned out well).
-16th century jointed wooden doll. Made from wood, chalk, hide glue, two nails, linen, oil paint, and human hair. No modern tools used. My most successful project to date. (Kingdom A&S, 2024 Winner)
-Recreation of Hildegard’s cookies of joy, interpreted within historic context- disregarding modern interpretations, and in the context of humoral medicine. (Kingdom A&S 2023)
-carved intaglio ring. (Kingdom A&S 2023, Baron’s Choice)
-1470’s fur trimmed Turnshoes, to go with my “masters of the housebook” ensemble. (Kingdom A&S 2023)
-1470’s red linen housebook dress with fur trim and gold cordage. New skill: roll pleats.
-Viking garb for Haustblot: dyed several items with black walnut, reworked some used garb. Made a gold cotton underdress (as an inexpensive alternative to linen).
-Viking jewelry: assembled several items, for myself and to give away, using rock crystal and glass beads, as well as bone and amber. Used a Gotland ball (purchased) to make a recreation necklace of a Gotland find.
-cleaned up a cast iron cauldron for use in cooking over a fire, and now make various portages at events.
-16th c rock crystal knotted paternoster.
- various small bags, jewelry, and accessories.
-Blue velveteen 16th c. wrap dress- made to accommodate that I am an IBS-girly and cannot always wear supportive/fitted bodices. Very comfy! No sleeves so they can be interchanged, Low Countries style.
-various sleeves!! Blue velveteen fancier sleeves, and simple pin-on linen sleeves for more humble settings.
-Brown partlet. Not a huge success. Will try again.
-Low Countries apron (unpleated, corners detached).
-16th c decorative box- chip carved on a modern/prefabricated box. Made for visual similarity to extant examples- next try will be from a hand made box.
-The Lengberg Bra! Finished as a test sewist for Woodcut Wardrobe’s Lengberg research team. In linen. A success!! (Kingdom A&S Display, 2024)
-16th c. sailor’s Thrum Cap! knitted wool cap with raw wool locks as thrums, then felted. (Kingdom A&S Display, 2024)
-16th century men’s sailor ensemble.
-16th c. Knitted pin-on sleeves, as documented in the Tudor tailor’s second book, and by Sally Pointer
-16th c. Cream loose gown with rabbit fur trim, Tudor.
-Tudor rabbit fur lettuce cap, made my own pattern based on Hosbein's "Woman with Squirrel."
-A classic Rubakah- linen with red embroiderly, extra long sleeves (Slavic style), with red trim and sleeves. Worn belted as primary layer for kievan era or worn as an under layer in Muscovite period. Above ankle in length
-Porshni- soft leather shoes with ankle laces. Two pairs completed- one as a mockup but wearable, and a finer pair of suede (not period but very soft and pleasant to wear). Future pairs of higher quality leather, may be embellished with embroider, per novgorod finds. Kievan through Muscovite periods.
-Rus/Muscovite hat with beaver fur trim, leather lined with tabby woven wool
-Green cotton velveteen letnik with fur trim and beadwork. Cotton velveteen used as a replacement for historic wool velvets of a short pile. Stash buster project.
-Decorate collar, Muscovite. Upper class. Wool brocade, fur trim, coral (cultivated species, dyed orance), glass beads, freshwater pearls.
-Light veil, with small freshwater pearls sewn to the edges.
-Various pearl, coral, and other beaded accessories, including Ryasny, necklaces, etc.
-Accessories for the Rus garb, including a rigid heddle woven band that I made of wool, along with temple rings from twisted mixed-metal wire.
-Heavily beaded panel mounted on a Kika.
-Heavy weight umber Muscovite gown with wool brocade front panels.
-Netherlandish accessories- a Vermeer type veil, a few rectangular aprons, extra pin-on sleeves.
Completed projects given for awards:
Silk bag with silk embroidery, Pyxis, awarded to Isabelle, 2024.
Red silk velvet belt with pearl and glass beading, Pyxis, awarded to Brigis, 2024.
Scroll, gouache on perg, for Phaedra's Award of Arms, 2025.
In-Progress Projects:
-1530’s raspberry wool overdress with black velveteen guards. Needs fit adjustments.
-red “blackwork” embroidery for a chemise collar.
-Alba Amicorum/Friendship Book. 2 versions- paper filled and vellum (Perg), to be bound in silk velvet.
-Lusterweibchen- a very big and very long but EXCITING project!!!
In planning:
-Hat blocking!
-smocked apron
-re-try making body linens with lighter fabric.
-Doublet in wool and linen, for my buddy Albert.
-Recreating my best attempt at a Lusterweibchen- a chandelier made of antler with a carved bust of a woman. Based on extant examples and pictorial evidence.
-Making garb for my Mom!
-Mother of pearl or pearl beaded cuffs for Muscovite boyar class.
-Matching collar.
-Kremlin museum's recreation rubakha with red gussets.
