| As a member of Charlemagne's extended court and the wife of a blacksmith, I live in the small town of Grabenau. (pronounced Gray-been-now). I share the name with one of Charlegane's wives. The name my friends know me by is Keranadl (pronounced care-ah-nah-dahl). I specialize in fiber techniques such as spinning and the out of period technique known as knitting. I have a working knowledge of weaving, sprang, nalbinding, netting and other out of period techniques known as crochet, and tatting. I have done period dyeing and taught classes on period laundry. I am also knowledgeable in herb lore -medicinal, culinary, and natural dyes. The clothes I wear are modeled on those worn by Queen Arnegunda, wife of Clothar III, a Merovingian King. |
