I am of German and Swedish decent. I grew up in the Hanseatic city of Visby on the island of Gottland. My father Wernerus is an importer of goods and my mother Svana is a native of the isle. I spent the days of my youth working with my father in his shop, and learning the importance of honesty and hard work. When I could sneak away my favorite past time was to run through the crowded streets, browsing the shops and all the wonders they beheld.
