12th Century Deonysia (aka Deo) is a weaver of some small skill, and a part of Queen Eleanor's court.
14th Century Deonysia is an illuminator. Both are from Rye, on the southern coast of England, not far from where the Battle of Hastings took place. Rye is a fairly important port town on the channel.
Deo the illuminator while from Rye, has a secondary home of sorts, with the Wittelsbachs, in Bavaria, and watched the founding of the University of Heidelberg by Rupert I, Count Palatine of the Rhine.
I have a fondness for blue European style dragons, sea horses, bats and hedgehogs. Also, things on the macabre side, and the unusual or rare. Favorite flowers in period are columbine & roses, favorite fruits are cherries & plums.
