Planned Activities: Classes
The Barony of Caer Anterth Mawr is delighted to welcome Mistress Juliana de Luna, Laurel Queen of Arms, as well as the heralds and scribes of Northshield.
Classes will be offered on various topics related to holding the office of herald, voice heraldry, name and armory heraldry, calligraphy, illumination, and the science behind the scribal arts.

Site opens 7:30AM for instructors, staff, & royalty; 8:00AM for populace.  
Site closes at 5:30PM

Adult registration (13 & above): $10
Adult member:      $5
Youth 12 & under: Free
Members of Marquette University community (staff, faculty, students): Free

Food permitted from outside vendors and there are multiple restaurants in the area

The University of Marquette is home to a collection of SCA-period manuscripts, including a rare set of 12 Spanish antiphonals (circa 1562), a full Book of Hours, and various other manuscripts and leaves. The stewards are working on arrangements for viewing of these materials for attendees of this event  In addition to the scribal collections, the campus is home to a piece of medieval architecture.  Immediately north of the Physics Building is the St. Joan of Arc Chapel, a gothic chapel first built in 1420 and brought to the US in the early 20th century (plans for the voice heraldry class include a "field trip" to try the acoustics of a real medieval space).
