I am very interested in any sort of dance, but I would have to say my favorite is middle eastern. Darin, Gretchin, Jeff and I just finished up a Viking Treasure Necklace which we donated for Lupercalia. I love making glass beads and vials. I am interested in historical cooking and have had a lot of fun cooking lunch for the last two Lupercalia's. I enjoy sewing and would like to learn more about historical costuming for the middle east. I also am working on learning how to make pots and vases and goblets. I hope to make my own feast gear. I am working on making my own arrows and am very interested in archery. I am interested in rapier but not sure I would have time to pursue it. I enjoy working with henna.
I am thinking of having my persona based in the Middle East, possibly Persia. I am not set on a time as yet but I am thinking of around the time of Eleanor of Aquitaine, around the time of the Second Crusade or a bit after that. There were many women who joined that crusade. There are a lot of possibilities there. Eleanor was one of my favorite historical figures from college, I wrote many papers about her while obtaining my history degree. I do not have a name or a device as yet, I intend to take care of this after pinpointing where I would like to be from.
