-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To foreign lands I sail looking for treasure,
Silver, gold, and womanly pleasure.
I take what I want, I take what I can,
With axe, spear, and sword, or maybe bare hands.
I’ve sailed many nights,
I’ve sailed many days.
I’ve sailed through the mists,
I’ve sailed through the haze.
If I land on your shore you’d better beware.
If I come to your village you’d better take heed.
I’ve come for your gold, I’ve come for your treasure,
I’ve come for your horses, women, and mead.
I’ve sailed many nights,
I’ve sailed many days.
I’ve sailed through the mists,
I’ve sailed through the haze.
To shore I come on serpent wings fair,
Helmet holds back my long Norseman’s hair.
My shield is round and ready, my axe sharp and true.
My spear straight and steady, my sword thirsty for blood.
I’ve sailed many nights,
I’ve sailed many days.
I’ve sailed through the mists,
I’ve sailed through the haze.
To Odin I pray for strength this day,
Thor’s hammer helps to protect.
To Valhalla I go if I may fall,
To drink mead with warriors in the hall.
I’ve sailed many nights,
I’ve sailed many days.
I’ve sailed through the mists,
I’ve sailed through the haze.
I am a Viking, there’s no way around it.
I am a Viking, and your land, I’ve found it.
