It has been said by many worthy gentles that there is currently Not Enough Dancing in Northshield! We of the northern woods are trying to help rectify this issue with a dance moot!

Best of all, it is FREE - there is no site fee!

Bring your dancing shoes and join us for a day of classes in various styles. Bring the kids, as there will be youth dances, a quest and a mask making table (materials provided). In the evening, kick up your heels at a masquerade ball with buffet-style delicacies to refresh the senses. Prizes will be awarded at the ball in several categories: best costume/s, best mask/s and best solo/couple galliard (provided anyone is left standing).

The meal is potluck. You are welcome to bring a dish to pass; however, please note that food preparation facilities are limited on site. Foods that keep well without refrigeration are recommended; otherwise, a cooler or crock pot will be useful.

Site opens 10 am, closes 9 pm.

How to find us: Take your best route to Houghton, MI in the beautiful Keweenaw Peninsula. Cross the Portage Lift Bridge and follow US 41 through downtown Hancock (Quincy Street, one way). Bear left at the Citgo station and turn back onto Hancock Street (one way going the other way). Turn right at the Holiday gas station and park on the street in front of the dance studio, a yellow brick building. Parking is somewhat limited in this area, but please do not park in the Hanke Auto lot. Additional parking can be found on Reservation and Quincy Sts.
