Come one, come all to Hrothgar's Hall where Grendel's arm is hanging on the wall!
It's so nice to mead you! Come on out to the Hall for a fun, laid-back camping event with plenty of activities to do for all ages. Play with giant bubbles, search for the dragon during the Wood Walks, or tell a tale by the campfire. We also have a hall to meet , revel, get out of the weather, and to work on your A&S projects.
Plenty of room to camp!
We are expanding the archery program this year with clout shoots, horse shoes, wreath and lifeline shoot in addition to the challenging Woods Walk. We are continuing Thrown Weapons for axe, knife and spear. This year you can bring siege weapons too. The only restriction is that they have to have a range of less than a half mile! Special shoot this year with a Pop'n'Jay target.
Merchants are welcome and there is no Merchant Fee. We need to know by September 1st if you are attending.
Shire will coordinate a potluck feast on Saturday. We will provide the meat
Grendel's Arm Contest - Best Grendel's Arm, all ages, any medium, winner by bean count.
Activities are subject to change due to a variety of potential reasons such as weather, plague, and availability.

Site is not handicapped accessible. Service animals allowed. Camping on site with limited electricity (contact the event steward if you have medical needs)

From Cavour on Hwy 14. South on 409th Ave 8 miles to 216thSt. Then 1 W and 1 S. Don't worry about Minimum maintenance sign unless there is a blizzard.
From the south. From Mitchell, take Hwy 37 N to dead end which is junction with Hwy 34. Turn W 1/4 mile to 408th and then go north to dead end on 220th. Go W 1/4, then 3 north on 408th to 217th St. Site located on East side.
