The Shire of Stromfels presents:River Revel II: OenaechA Viking Age Irish Country Faire
Come join us for a relaxing day in a well-shaded park. We plan on having:*An Arts and Sciences competition: Items from Viking Age Scandinavia and/or Ireland only please – prizes to be awarded.*A bardic challenge – This will be a poem written on site on a topic to be decided on the day of the event. Poems are to be written in either Skaldic or Medieval Irish styles. Form rules will be sent to each group’s Seneschal prior to the event. Prizes to be awarded.*Merchants! Can’t have a country faire without them!! (Please Pre-register with the Autocrats)*There is space for an eric for fighters who wish to practice and we have a Marshall.*Some children’s activities are planned.*There will be lunch available or there are many restaurants within a very short distance of the park. Lunch will consist of bread, fruit, boiled eggs, cheese, meat and apple cider. Site is discreetly damp. (No glass containers allowed) Menu subject to change.
The Oenaech will be set in Glen Park at Glen Park Rd in River Falls, WI.The Date is Saturday, July 21, AS XLII (2007)

Directions: If coming the west: From I-94 - Take exit 3 to State Hwy 35 south. Go seven miles, then take the River Falls exit and go to the right. Continue approximately 1.8 miles on Main Street, then turn right onto Park Street. Go two blocks to Glen Park.
If coming from the east: From I-94 - Take exit 10, and turn south on Hwy 65. Follow for eight miles into River Falls. Continue approximately 1.8 miles on Main street, then turn right onto Park Street. Go two blocks to Glen Park.
From the south: Follow State Hwy 65 North to E. Cascade Ave and turn left. Follow to Main St and turn left. Follow about .25 miles to W. Park Rd and turn right. Go two blocks to the park.
Glen Park Rd goes around the park. Look for Pavilions and park as close as you can. Set up and have fun!
