Greetings unto the populace of Northshield,
Welcome to what is, in my opinion, the best month of the year: October, in all its autumn glory. Vivant to all the combatants and consorts who have entered Their Majesties’ Crown Tournament and congratulations to the eventual new Heirs. This month also marks twelve months until Northshield’s twentieth anniversary as a kingdom, on October 16, 2024. I encourage people to submit articles, photos, artwork, songs, and poems commemorating not only our twenty years as a kingdom, but also eight years as a territorial principality, almost three years as a crown principality, and decade and a half as a region.
With all this history being commemorated, I am looking for a volunteer to serve as kingdom archivist/historian. The Kingdom Historian/Archivist is a deputy to the Kingdom Chronicler and is responsible for processing, cataloging, and preserving the collection of Northshield’s history: written documents, oral history, and artifacts from Northshield’s past, present and in the future.
In addition to the kingdom archivist/historian office, we have a number of kingdom deputy offices open. They include:
Emergency Deputy Kingdom Chronicler: stands ready to assume the duties of Kingdom Chronicler should the current officer be unable to perform the duties, and to assist in any other projects the kingdom chronicler may ask
Media Relations Deputy: serves as a liaison between Northshield and modern media outlets, and as a resource for local groups when dealing with media outlets
Deputy Northwatch Editor: assists the Northwatch editor as needed
Western, Central, and Eastern Regional Deputy Social Media Officers (SMO): serve as resource for local SMO's in their region and assist Kingdom SMO with oversight
TikTok Deputy SMO: helps promote Northshield and the SCA via TikTok.
