April Missive

Greetings, Northshield,

We are honored to be your 36th Crown and We thank Guenivere and Tom for all Their work for Northshield. As We have mentioned during Our heirship, Our hope for Our reign is to remind Our Kingdom of Our shared history, as well as foster community among all Our groups. We intend to add elements to court honoring Our Kingdom’s past deeds, looking at how we got “here,” and creating opportunities for Our new citizens to hear stories of this great Kingdom. We have bards dedicated to collecting stories! Please contact Us with your fond remembrances or historical notes. The knowledge of where we come from encourages our future, and it is important that we record and share it to be accessible to future SCA generations.

Speaking of Court and accessibility: We will use an advance “Summons to Court” system during Our reign to allow people time to prepare. We hope this helps more individuals feel comfortable attending court, and if you have any other suggestions, please let Us or Our chamberlain know through the royal email or reign36chamberlain@gmail.com.

We look forward to the spring and summer, to outdoor events, to melee, to meeting new people and to seeing old friends again!
