Greetings, Heralds of Northshield!
This month I am writing about Court Reports. Don’t be put off by all the words - Court Reports are easy!
tl;dr (short version): There’s a link to a template on the Kingdom website. Make sure your report has all that info, and email it to courtreports@northshield.org. Now please actually read the rest of this; it has important details!
…
A Court Report must be filed within 72 hours of the event. If the event had a Herald in Charge, they might do the Court Reports themselves, or they may ask the Court Herald for each Court to do their own report. In either case, if you are running a Court, it’s your responsibility to keep track of all the information needed and make certain it gets accurately recorded!
Court Reports must include the name(s) of the presiding Royalty, regent, or Baronage, event name, event date, court time (if multiple courts were held), Herald in Charge’s name or the name of the Court Herald (plus any other Heralds), Seneschal of Record’s name, Day Signet’s name (if applicable), and a chronological listing of awards/orders given with the recipient's SCA name and the name of the scribe for each award. The awards must be listed correctly and in chronological order as given so the Order of Precedence is accurate.
It is recommended, but not required, that the Court Report lists or describes other activities and events that occurred during the Court, such as presentations or performances.
Modern names must not be included in Court Reports.
Some business that may occur in a court, such as Sanctions announcements (Corpora X.C), must be reported in specific ways per SCA Corpora. If your Court Report will include business that is not awards, presentations, or general business similar to that stated above, contact me or the Kingdom Seneschal for additional guidance before submitting your report.
There is a template here that you can use:

Submit your Court Reports by email to courtreports@northshield.org.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
I’m looking forward to hearing you!
