The AS LV (May 1, 2020-April 30, 2021) nominees and winners of the Master William Blackfox Awards, the Society-wide awards for excellence in newsletter production are in. While Northshield did not “win” in any of the categories, any group that takes the time to produce a newsletter, and all the people who help contribute to them, are winners in my book. At the time of this writing, I am reviewing the local newsletters for nominees to the AS LVI (May 1, 2021-April 30, 2022) awards.

This does not necessarily mean the bestlooking newsletter, but rather the newsletter which best meets the needs of the local group or guild for which it is published. It should accurately reflect the status of the group and be a valuable tool for growth and promotion of SCA goals and ideals. This title is awarded to the newsletter and the Chronicler.
