May Missive

Greetings and salutations,

As we approach a time when we will be able to be together, let us remember what is best about the SCA. We are a community. Being a member of this community plays an important role in many parts of our lives. There is camaraderie in the events we attend, or the artistry we enjoy, and the fact we are a little bit different than others. Having a sense of community unites us. This group can inspire and allow us to see that we are a part of something greater than ourselves. Community is a chance to relate and understand each other. The community makes us feel safe and can give security.

Let us nourish and support each other, and, by doing so, help the community that we have long worked to create and maintain. A strong community can greatly benefit all of us in many ways.
