To the populace ofthe great kingdom of Northshield come greetings!
For those who don’tknow me yet, I’d like to introduce myself. I started playing in the SCA in theautumn of 1998 in Svaty Sebesta in Vermillion, SD. I fell in love with theideals and people of Northshield. I’ve been writing songs and poems aboutNorthshield ever since, so it seems particularly appropriate that I would beintroduced in the final paper version of the Well Versed Northwatch. I’d writemore and tell you more about myself, but that is for the future, for now, I’dlike to instead to close with a song—it seems like what belongs—and itexpresses best why I volunteered to become your kingdom officer, and why I am sopleased with being selected as such.
