March Missives

Their Royal Highnesses

Their Royal Highnesses' missive this month is Their Spring Crown Tournament requirements, listed later in this issue.
The Spring Crown list will be a “bring-your-best,” size-dependent tournament. Details are as follows:

If there are four (4) or fewer combatants, it will be a single elimination tree, best two-out-of-three. For five (5) or more combatants, the tournament will consist of two portions, a round robin where the number of pools is determined by the number of competitors, and single elimination tree of the top fighters from the pool(s). See table below.

The placement into pools will be done by random draw on the day of the event. As well, the placement into the single elimination tree will be by random draw. All the round robin fights are a single fight; the winner reports to the list table. Ties to be broken by fights between those who have tied. All fights in the single elimination portion will be best
two of three. Double kills will be refought.
Number of Combatants Round Robin Pools Number advancing to single Selection of combatants elimintation in single elimination
 1-4    0   All   All
 5-9   1  4  Top four in pool
10-18   2  8  Top four in both pools
19-27   3 8  Top overall of the pools

Requirements
In an effort to show the talents of the future of Northshield, Combatants and Consorts are requested to bring an A&S project made by one or both to display during the day. We would highly encourage a project(s) by both participants. The project does NOT have to be made specifically for Crown. It can be something made previously and it can also be a joint project.

Please provide a card with your name and a description of the item. If you wish to provide more extensive documentation you may do so but it is not required.

There will be a Stallari meeting Sunday morning after the tournament that the Heirs are expected to attend. This meeting is to fulfill the following kingdom law requirement.
VI – 700: The Stallari Council shall meet once per year within 30 days after the Spring Crown Tournament to review Kingdom Law and Northshield Financial Policies and approve changes that are needed or desirable. This meeting shall be in addition to convening the official meetings of the Stallari Council as set forth in VI-300

• All combatants and consorts must have an AoA or higher award.
• Modern equipment or clothing must be covered. Modern footwear must be plain brown or plain black with no visible insignia.
• On the day of the tournament, combatants and consorts must show a valid membership card, proof of majority, and proof that at least one has the ability to cross the border. The combatant must show a valid Northshield authorization card.
