GreetingsKinsmen,
Earlyspring is upon us and the snows are receding, it is time to beginning trainingfor war in earnest. Following the provenmodel of “one plays like they practice” we need to focus on good meleetechniques. Even in small groups you can practice 2 on 1’s and 3 on 2’s todevelop teamwork skills.
Basedon the Army’s performance last year there is one bad habit that we must work oneliminating. Dying correctly, again and again, last year I witnessed members ofthe Griffin Army dying and instead of falling down and dying defensively orstepping off to the side they walked back through our own lines. This allowed ouropponents to occupy the ground that we had just taken and cause disruption andconfusion in our own ranks. This is a bad habit that needs to stop! Train to die correctly; this aids the army’sefforts.
Duringthe Spring/Summer there will be a series of Regional War Practices. SaturdayJune 5th at Mermaids has been designated the Eastern Regional War Practice. Iintend to have Regional War Practices in the Central and Western Regions aswell. Please make an effort to attend these if at all possible so we maypractice working together in larger units.
Forhonor and glory,
CountStephen du Bois
