February Missive

Greetings, crafty folk of Northshield!

By the time you read this missive, we will be entering the final days of preparation before the 2018 Kingdom Arts and Sciences Competition, to be held February 10th in Jararvellir. I am so very  much looking forward to the event – it is always an excellent showcase for the best that Northshield’s Artisans have to offer. It’s amazing to wander through the stellar exhibits and to interact with the knowledgeable and talented artisans. Even if you did not have the opportunity to enter this year, I would very strongly encourage you to attend – the caliber of the work and the enthusiasm of the artisans is infectious and I’d hope it would inspire you to participate in future years.

The Kingdom A&S Competition will also mark the end of my term as Kingdom Minister of Arts and Sciences. While health and baby prevented me from traveling as much as I would have liked during the latter part of my term, I have been pleased and honored to meet and interact with so many talented folks from across the Kingdom. Research, documentation, and Arts and Sciences competitions were the big themes I had for my tenure and, although I will be leaving formal office, I am always pleased to discuss these topics with any interested gentles. Please feel free to reach out to me, and I’m happy to provide guidance and classes whenever there is a need. Thank you all for sharing your gifts and your geeks with me these last two years – I’m in awe of your talents and devotion to your arts!

Yours in Geeky Service,

Eithni
