Greetings unto the people of Northshield,
Melee season is now upon us, and I'd like to take a moment to remind everyone that our combat related activities are arduous. Typically speaking, injuries go up as fatigue sets in. In consideration of this, I'd like to ask that combat planners put more stressful activities early in the day, rather than late. For example, resurrection melees should be earlier in the day, with single death battles done later, followed by pick-up fighting. To the combatants, please insure that you are in good enough physical shape to withstand the rigors of the various activities in which we participate. It might also be a good idea to spend some time outside of your air conditioning to get yourselves acclimated to the heat. Also, if possible, try increasing the level of cardiovascular and strengthening activities in between your fight practices. Better physical conditioning should, on average, decrease your susceptibility to injury and increase your effectiveness on the field!
