Greetings unto the populace of Northshield!
I guarantee you will love this month’s issue of the Northwatch! It is all about going to a foreign war, which we on the Northwatch Editorial Staff (really Shava just telling me what to do and I agreeing with her as is proper) felt was perfect to bring out right before Gulf Wars happens in Mississippi! We hope this issue helps you prepare for the trek south and that you bring back tales and songs of your adventures there!
I would like to take a moment to welcome Baron Cristoforo Alfonso Pallavincino da Firenze as our incoming Northwatch Editor. Viscountess Elashava has toiled long and hard and certainly deserves a much needed break. After seeing Baron Foro’s credentials, I am excited to be able to work with him on future issues. Thank you, Shava, for all you do for this Kingdom and all you have done to make the Northwatch one of the best newsletters in the Known World. Welcome, Baron Foro; I look forward to working with you!!
Next, I would like to let you know of the future themes for our Northwatch. April will be our annual fool’s edition, May will focus on All Things New (trying something new, being new to the SCA, articles for beginners) and June will be on Heralds and the Heraldic Arts. Please consider contributing to these future issues.
Finally, I will be attending Gulf Wars, Spring Coronation, and Crown Tourney if you need to talk Chronicler shop. I look forward to seeing you at the next event!
