Lady Dwynwen is a middle period Welsh lady, widowed, who lives in her small holding in the hill country where she raises small animals, tends to the sick, feeds the hungry and generally keeps out of trouble.
She is named for a 5th century welsh saint, the patron of small animals and lovers. She is skilled in the fiber arts, works a bit at illumination, coptic book binding, pens a bit of doggerel now and then and enjoys period cookery. She also has a vivid imagination and sometimes believes she is an Italian Rennaisence woman, a Mongolian barbarian, a 15th century Japanese or a well bred lady who dwells in an ottoman Turkish harem.
