| Born in 1067 of a union between Norman father and Saxon mother and raised primarily Saxon, I trained early in the skills of the woods and that of war. Later following Robert of Normandy on the first crusade where I lead his troops of archery. Being gravely injured in 1100 at Ascalon, I decided to stay in the Holy Land to recover in the hands of the Hospitalers and not follow Robert back to Europe. I entered service with King Baldwin of Jerusalem as an advisor and trainer and currently reside in Tripoli after assisting in taking the city in 1109. |
