My family comes from 14th Century Bavaria.  My father and mother moved our family to Regensburg so he could set up a blacksmith shop.  Regenburg is know for its horse market so furrier work is easy to come by.  As a child growing up around the shop, I picked up plenty of metal working knowledge.  As an adventurous youth, I also dabbled in making and repairing armor.  With some armourer skill, I was able to gain some connections with the city guards.  I was given the opportunity to join the guard so I left the shop and joined the official city guard for the German town of Regensburg.
