My first name is the French form of Elizabeth (after Queen Elizabeth of England) with a Y for Spanish spelling. I picked La Rochelle in Aquataine(France) because it was an important port city and historically survived through several batttles including the 100 years wars. As far as garb goes, I have a summer and a winter persona. Both are predominantly French. I am currently remaking my garb to fit right around the 100 years war/Agincourt Era. Although, by no means am I sticking strickly to this. My winter wear, especially court garb, is 16th century Elizabethan. I love making garb as I used to be a costume designer before my children enlightened my world. So, for me, my persona needed to be flexible enough to incorporate my many talents and desires to make all kinds of garb. Thus, the two different centuries, and three different countries (England, France, and Spain) which were very influential in clothing styles. I was first introduced into the SCA twelve years ago in college by two of my good friends which also still play in the SCA. My interests include garbmaking, scroll work, Thrown Weapons(I am a Marshal), illumination, Celtic and Viking artwork, tablet weaving, feast/medieval cooking, soapmaking, and archery. I've been an autocrat twice for events, been feast-o-crat and helped w/ many feasts,MOAS officer, worked in demos, on the Signet's list, taught several classes in our shire, and love to go to all kinds of events.
