Welsh border gentry, end of the 14th century into the 15th. In terms of English monarchs, that would be the last of the reign of Richard II, and those of Henry IV, V, and VI, sliding into War o/t/ Roses. I survive the Agincourt campaign of 1415, and the French attack on the baggage train (Fluellen's "the poys and the luggage!") during the battle.
Searched out the SCA and the forming Shire of Nordskogen in September, 1974. Indulged in fighting (and necessarily armoring), heraldry, writing, holding offices as needed, and, of course, researching history.
Offices, once upon a time:
Herald (first Nordskogen shire pursuivant, first Principality Herald)
Seneschal (shire, first Northshield regional)
Stallarar for Northshield as Crown Principality
Kingdom Law Clerk (first), deputy of Seneschal
Armored Combat Marshal of the Field
In these days:
Herald at large (Paciens Herald) and internal commenter
