CeCil's Siege is an event co-sponsored by nine SCA groups in Western Northshield which offers activities for every member of the family. Fees feature free admission for anyone under 16 and a comfortable family maximum fee.
The site itself was developed on an SCA member's farm with SCA events in mind. It features a large siege wall with towers; expansive camping areas; a merchants area; horse stables and trails; archery ranges for both long distance field archery and wooded shoots; and a beautiful view of the MIssouri River bottom lands.
Cooking is an option for attendees as a field kitchen is open for breakfast and lunch; burgers are served at the Torchlight Tourney on Friday, and; a potluck feast featuring a whole hog roast is held Saturday evening. Free will donations are accepted to offset food costs.
Site opens at 5 pm Thursday and closes on Noon Sunday. No reservations or advance payments necessary.
