Western Keep is holding Raid on the Mountain in Brookings as a local one day event, NOT our regular weekend camping at Hole in the Mountain campground at Lake Benton, MN. This event is to prepare and authorize fighters for Cecils Siege. Fighting will be on the east end of Hillcrest Park, in the woody area next to the horseshoe toss pits. All other activities will be close to the picnic shelters on the south end of the park, which is the north parking lot for the school. We will have heavy weapons and light weapons, but no throwing or archery since we are in city limits. The park has a playground area for children, modern plumbing, and is connected to the city aquatics park (one day pool pass is $3.00 per person, which gives you access to showers and snack booth).
No feast, but we will have a pot luck supper at Hillcrest Shelter B (next to the tennis courts). At least one grill will be available, but bring your own meat. Bring your own feast gear and beverage. If you forget to bring food, feast gear, or beverages we will accept your $10 donation to use our supplies.
We will have bardic activities after the fighters stop for the night, with prizes.
Site fee is $2.00 per person (covers the gatorade and ice). Non-members pay $5 per person.
Site is handicapped accessible but the park itself is NOT handicap friendly and completely dry.
