Please note that because this is an event specifically geared towards newcomers in the UW Milwaukee community who have not been previously exposed to the Society, garb is optional. Attendees from the UW Milwaukee community will most likely be in modern clothing. However we do encourage current members of the SCA to come in garb to “show off” the wonderful things that we do. Coming in our Medieval clothing will also let the newcomers know which people they can go to in order to ask questions. We are asking that those SCA members attending be willing to either answer questions from un-garbed attendees, or politely direct them to event staff for answers.

There is no site fee for this event. There may be material fees for individual classes, which will be noted when the class schedule is fully published.

There is a paid parking structure beneath the building, and its entrance ramp down is just east of the building's main entrance. There is also metered parking on the streets, though it may fill up and times for metered parking vary. There are also paid surface lots near the campus that can be used. Please check any nearby signage when parking. Anyone with questions about parking can contact one of the event stewards.

We will not be holding a feast at the event, though there will be an hour break in the middle of the day where attendees are more than welcome to visit any of the restaurants near campus.
