  1. Group Status – Mare Amethystinum
    1. Having recently added new members, the group is avoiding an administrative suspension
  2. Expenses
    1.  David de Bohun incurred an expense to Fedex the exchequer files to Greta.  This will be reimbursed from either the Seneschal fund or the Exchequer fund.
  3. Software for Chronicler
    1. Option one is a lower cost that is “personal” copy -- non-transferrable between people (availability of sidegrades is unknown).  Cost is apx $200
    2. Option two is a “nonprofit” license.  This is more likely to allow sidegrades from PC to Mac if needed in the future, and can be given to the successor officer in time.  Cost is apx $400.
    3. Elashava will verify the terms of the nonprofit version.
    4. Cost would come from kingdom general fund.
    5. Option #2 is preferred, and is approved with the condition that it meets the expectations listed above.
  4. Law Changes
    1. Add “incoming” to territorial baron/ess reporting requirement.  <This was read into court by Maol Michel later that day>
    2. Need to modify Court of Chivalry law, as several paragraphs are superseded by Corpora
      1. Primary difference: Courts of Chivalry in Northshield law are required to be public, but per Corpora all Royal Sanctions must be private.
      2. Significant opinion among the officers that Courts of Chivalry may be unnecessary in Northshield Law.
      3. Removing all reference to Courts of Chivalry was decided to be a substantive change.  The idea will be published for comment.
      4. Caradoc agreed to send the Chronicler information on what laws would be removed for publication in the next Northwatch.
  5. Officer Reporting
    1. All officers report that their Domesday reports are in progress or are complete.
    2. Reminder that there are sometimes additional reporting requirements in Kingdom and Society Law.  All officers are asked to review their requirements.
  6. Youth Martial Activities
    1. Currently the ages are 16+ for armored combat, 14+ for rapier combat.
    2. These changes were made during Tarrach’s reign, but were not reflected in the handbooks.
    3. Tristan informed that armored combatants ages 16-18 will have additional armor requirements (vambraces, cuisses, clavicle protection, and body armor) as well as have a marking on their helms.
    4. Youth armored combatants will be allowed to participate in melee combat.
    5. Need to verify the age requirements for rapier combat with the Kingdom Rapier Marshall.
    6. This policy will be published in the next Northwatch, and the changes will be made to the handbooks.
  7. Updates from Prince Stephen
    1. Meetings for the reign have been scheduled.  There will be a Stallari meeting at Coronation.
    2. Will  be having a Northshield party at Pennsic, hosted by Vlad.  Does not require any kingdom resources.
    3. Will be considering the possible combination of Coronation and Crown Tourneys into one event.
      1. Many groups are having trouble finding sites
      2. With the current economic situation, event attendance is generally declining. This combination may help groups hold more financially successful kingdom events.
    4. Considering adding two non-precedence bearing awards.
      1. Advised by officers to get names and devices registered before announcing any new awards
    5. We have received permission from Meridies to conflict with their Cygnet award for our Cygnus
    6. Considering options for more robust tracking of topics under consideration by Stallari.
    7. Border Skirmish has asked for the 2nd weekend of June.  This request has been approved.
