Now that Domesday has wrapped up I'd like to announce two policy changes that will go into effect immediately.
1. REPORT SCHEDULE
In a continued effort to simplify the process we will be aligning the reporting schedules for all martial activities into one set of dates. All activities will have the following schedule:
Group Marshals, Group Marshals-in-Training, and Marshals-in-Training:
February 25
May 25
August 25
November 25
Marshals of the Field:
May 25 (RAPIER ONLY)
November 25
*Simon and I are still discussing if the midyear report for Rapier Marshals of the Field are necessary. If we decide that it is no longer needed I will announce the change ASAP.
2. PRACTICE WAIVERS
Group Marshals will now be asked to submit all PRACTICE waivers each quarter to their Regional Marshal. The regional marshals will then submit all of the waivers to the waivers deputy.
A reminder: Anyone who is not authorized, and can reasonably be expected to come in contact with the list field should be signing these waivers. This includes field heralds, individuals distributing water, getting close to the action to take pictures, etc.
I have a few policy rewrites left on my agenda, once these are completed I intend to update the marshals handbook which will have all of the changes published in them. Thank you for your patience in dealing with out dated handbooks.
