Come join us in our righteous trek across Europe and Asia Minor as we drive the infidels before us with naught but our Honour, our Courage and our Steel. "Deus Vult".

Join the Barony of Castel Rouge on September 1 to 4, 2006 for a weekend of battle and herosim, of feasting and revelry. This year's event will feature A&S Classes, Armoured and Rapier combat, Archery, and other non-combat activities including A&S Workshops, Raffle (donations appreciated!),Torchlit War Court (late Friday evening), Shooting 'Fire Arrows' into the Lake (after War Court), Open Bardic Circle at the main fire pit every evening, and Games.

Site opening/closing times: Site opening-2 p.m. Friday, September 1, Closing-10 a.m., Monday, Sept 4

Site/Feast Fees: There are no site fees. FEAST IS NOW FULL. Cost is $65 for the weekend which includes cabin accomodations or tenting (per person) for 3 nights, brunch on Saturday & Sunday, feast on Saturday and dinner on Sunday. Partial weekend costs are Saturday feast $15, Sat and/or Sun Brunch-$5 per meal, Sunday Dinner, $5. For children under 12 and under, the total fees are $52.50 and for children under 6, the total fees are $40.

PLEASE NOTE: We will be able to refund cabin/tent prepayments if you cancel by Wed, Aug 30, 2006. However, we will be unable to provide refunds for the food portion for any cancellations received August 27, 2006 or later.

Cabin accomodations and/or tent setups-contact the event steward for booking. Please ensure you contact or register in advance to ensure adequate space. No off board dining and no overnight stays except in cabins or advanced approved tent.Minimum deposit in advance is $20.

Note that meals will not be served on Friday or Monday as the site's kitchen will be unavailable these days. Restaurants and grocery stores are located in Gimli.

Troll will be open Friday from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. If you are arriving outside of these hours, you must contact the event autocrat prior to September 1, 2006 to make arrangements

Alcohol policies-Minors (under 18) caught drinking alcohol on site will be kicked out and their parents contacted. Adults caught giving alcohol to minors will be kicked out. Adults may bring alcohol for their own consumption, but please be discrete.

The cabins, washrooms, and showers are not wheelchair accessible.

This event is held at a private campground near Gimli, about a 1-hour drive north of Winnipeg, Manitoba. The site has heated cabins with bunks, modern washroom & shower facilities, pay phone, a spacious kitchen, a good-sized dining hall, large open field, wooded areas, and a small playground. Merchants welcome; no fees, but please contact the head autocrat in advance. Bring your own blankets. Some tables may be available during the day.
