About Us

Greetings to all and welcome to the ​Shire of Mare Amethystinum. We are ​located in Thunder Bay, ON, Canada. ​Mare Am, as it is referred to locally, is a ​local branch of the Society for ​Creative Anachronism, more ​commonly known as the SCA. Prepare ​yourself to step into a world of chivalry, ​art, and camaraderie. Armoured knights ​are locked in combat on the list field, ​artisans painting and illuminated ​manuscripts, and friends nearby put the ​finishing touches on their newest ​garments.
