February Missive

Greetings and Fiber Filled bliss to my cousins in Northshield!

This month’s issue of the Northwatch focuses on the Fiber Arts. This is a near and dear theme for me as I really do enjoy working with colored thread and making pretty things with it. I hope you all enjoy this issue as much as I do.

Also in this issue is our ever expanding Help Wanted section. Have you ever wanted to volunteer in a Kingdom office but were unsure where to start? Are you looking to increase your service but were a bit hesitant to take on a great office? The Help Wanted section of the Northwatch lists both Deputy Positions and Great Office Positions, and there is honestly something for everyone there. Take a moment to read through them and contact the appropriate person to learn more about what is required. Speaking of which, I am approaching the end of my term as Kingdom Chronicler. If you are interested in applying for this position, please feel free to contact me and we can chat about what the office entails.

I also wanted to mention to all that we do publish obituaries for those in the SCA who have crossed over. We have one featured this month of a lady who left this world suddenly, and it occurs to me that not everyone may realize that we do this. We will always make room for pictures and remembrances of those who have left us. If you know of someone who has crossed over and wish to write something up, please feel free to send it to and we will make sure to include it in a future issue.

Lastly, I am scheduled to be at Hertzkrieg and Lupercalia this month, Gulf Wars in March, and Spring Coronation and Dance Seminar in April. Please feel free to pull me aside to chat about all things Chronicler related.

Yours ever in service to the Dream and to Northshield,
