September Missive

Greetings, Arts-y, Science-y, and otherwise Learn-y folks!
With Pennsic and war season behind us, I hope that all of you found time to enjoy the learning opportunities large events bring. I’ve just completed the post-mortem for classes at Warriors and Warlords, and that event alone had over ONE HUNDRED hours of formal class time! I would challenge each of you, if you learned something new this summer, share it with at least three other people, whether that is through a formal class or in a casual one-on-one interaction.
Looking ahead, there are several excellent educational activities planned for this fall. There are several class spaces available for classes at Coronation — contact me if you would
like to teach! There is also the annual Stellar University of Northshield on November 5th in the Shire of Rockhaven. Please note that SUN will be on the FIRST weekend of November, not the second as would be usual, because that weekend is occupied with the Known World Fiber Arts Symposium, just across our border in Calontir (Ames, IA).
I hope you will be able to attend some or all of these wonderful learning opportunities, but wherever you are, whatever you do, keep learning and sharing what you’ve learned! New facts, ideas, skills, and techniques – this is what allows us to continually explore the past and learn ever more about it, it is what makes the past new and present. Enjoy your travels and may they inspire others to walk those paths!
Yours in exploration,
Eithni
