A report from the court of Their Dread Stellar Majesties, Toyaoka Tenno Heika and Aethelflaed Chiugu Heika, Rulers of Northshield, 30 January AS50 in the Canton of Coille Stormeill, Jararvellir.


Their Majesties were joined by their Serene and Stellar Highnesses, Rhys and Gwenhwyvar, Prince and Princess; by His Excellency Robert, Lord of Jararvellir; by Her Excellency Katerin, Lady of Caer Anterth;by Their Excellencies Geoffrey and Samia, Lord and Lady of Nordskogen; and by Their Excellencies Grimmund and Mira, Lord and Lady of Windhaven. 


During the course of the court, Baron Robert was succeeded by Their Excellencies Robert and Leona as Lord and Lady of Jararvellir.

 

The court was heralded by Yehudah ben Yitzhak and Niklaus der Auslander, with Katerinka Lvovicha as Signet. Jararvellir barony courts were heralded by Nasangal and Arwa al-Jinniyya.

 

In a private court before the main court, the following business was conducted

Martial sanctions: Travis Irwin (Rurik Hroerkerson) - all authorizations revoked and barred from all martial participation, except as a supervising parent to youth boffer combat, for no less than eleven (11) months and no greater than two (2) years.


Several awards were handed out from previous courts or reigns.

Fiona Kitteredge -- Award of the Cygnus (old business from WW, AS48, Siegfried IV & Elizabeth II)


The following Kingdom laws were changed and read into court.

The following section is changed to:

I-350 — Kingdom Events

Known World Events are defined in Society Seneschal’s Handbook.

Kingdom Events are defined as events which are critical to the maintenance of the realm such as Crown or Coronation, or events that further Kingdom goals and have direct support and oversight of a Kingdom officer(s). Kingdom Events always require a bid to be presented to the Stallari Council as outlined in Northshield Policies. Language which suggests Kingdom sponsorship or sanction of an event such as use of the terms “Kingdom”, or “Northshield”, will occur as part of the bid process.

Any event that does not fit these definitions is defined as a local event.

The following is added:

I-360 — Conflicting with Kingdom Events

The Kingdom Event Information Officer will not allow any official SCA event within Northshield on the same day as Crown Tournament or Coronation. The Crown, after consultation with the Stallari Council, may give express permission for local events to occur on the same day as other Kingdom events.

The following is repealed:

III-400

The Kingdom Event Information Officer will not allow any official SCA event within Northshield on the same day as Coronation or Crown Tournament unless the Crown has given express permission after consultation with the Stallari Council.

The following section is added:

III-900

All prospective combatants and their consorts must meet the minimum criteria in the Governing Documents,

7. All prospective combatants must hold a valid Northshield heavy combat authorization card. If the combatant does not hold all authorizations that will be used in the tournament, the Crown has the sole discretion as to how and whether they will allow that combatant to participate.

The following is added:

V-810 Emergency Deputies for Greater Officers

All Greater Officers must have an emergency deputy. The emergency deputy must be approved by the Crown, after consultation with the Greater Officer and the Stallari.

The following section is changed to:

IX-100 — The Order of Precedence

Honors given by organizations below Kingdom level may appear in the Kingdom Order of Precedence, and they may also be used in their appropriate Orders of Precedence, (e.g. Baronial awards may be employed in order to define a Baronial Order of Precedence).

Only members of the various officially recognized Awards and Orders (as defined by Corpora) may wear the badges of their respective Awards and Orders. ***

The following is repealed:

XII-600

Persons holding valid authorizations from other Kingdoms are authorized to participate in combat activities in

Northshield, subject to the equipment standards, conventions, and authorization categories as applicable, of Northshield. Persons moving into Northshield who are authorized in other Kingdoms are allowed three (3) months to acquire authorization in Northshield.
